This term I chose 3 goals to try to achieve before the term finishes. Here they are.
My goals:
1. To get 200 points signed offg in my diary.
2. To completely finish all of my homework grids.
3. To do better than last year in the otago maths final.
What might stop me from achieving these goals:
1. If I don't get the points I earn signed off by a teache.
2. If I forget to complete any squares on the grid.
3. If I don't practice my problem solving.
What might help me achieve these goals:
1. By earning points by doing more extra curricular activities.
2. By doing one box a night when I get home.
3. By practicing on old tests.
Explanations:
1. To explain a bit about the first goal, our school has a points system. You get points when you do extra curricular activities. For example, 1 point for playing cricket and 2 for being in the school orchestra. The most anyone has ever got in our school is about 140. I am currently on 191.
2. Our school has a home work system, in which you are given a grid with 12 squares in it. In each square is a task, which could be researching a famous New Zealander, to doing an hour of exercise. Your parents sign off each square when it has been done.
3. In New Zealand we have a maths test that is spread over ther year and separated into five sections. Each has 5 maths problems in it. If your total after all of the tests is over 20, then you get to compete the final exam with 20 questions. The questions in this are much harder than the 5 question tests.

Hi John
Wow - great stuff about your goals for this term. How about a publisher page about your life up until now?
